Busy, Busy, Busy!

I was kind of shocked to realize when I posted Just Call Me Penny... that it had been eight days since my last post. Lately it seems there have been more compelling EVE-related activities to fill my available playtime than can comfortably fit--and that doesn't even include logging in to...you know...actually UNDOCK!

As that clever mule Manasi posted (thanks for the blog love, Manasi!), E-ON #16 includes my Insider's Guide to Corp Branding. It's all about how to raise the profile of your corp in the New Eden community. For those interested in that kind of thing, I hope you find some useful tips in the guide. If there ideas or constructive criticisms you wish to share on the topic of corp branding and promotion or the guide in general, please feel free to do so in comments to this post! I am still waiting for my copy of the magazine to arrive, but World's Greatest Editor Zapatero did send me an advance PDF and I must say, the layout looks gorgeous! How DID Zapatero know green is my favorite color?! Anyway...as Manasi reports, this issue also includes content from Kirith Kodachi, FinnAgain, Karox Lominax, and EVEGuru. Nice representation by EVE bloggers! I am working on an article for next issue now, and have batted ideas for future articles around with Zapatero so keep your eyes peeled. If you think you can write well and have something useful or interesting to share with other capsuleers, give Zapatero a shout.

Another project I've been collaborating on with Selene D'Celeste (the owner of EVE Online Hold'Em) is an EVE Online Hold'Em (EOH) Player's Guide. This Guide explains how to get started playing poker for ISK at New Eden's most established out-of-game poker site, with illustrated step-by-step instructions and in-depth information about the types of games offered, plus much more. I submitted the draft for Selene's review a few days ago; once we have it ready for prime time, I'll post a link to it in the sidebar here.

Meanwhile, if anyone has questions about how to get started playing at EOH, I'm happy to answer them. Add my banking alt EOH Mynxee to your addressbook and feel free to convo me anytime. If you already play at EOH and want to add chips to your EOH account, join the EOH POKER and EOH GAMES channels in-game and ask the on-duty ring banker (hopefully me) to do that for you. I usually bank for a couple of hours midday (Eastern TZ) and occasionally in the evenings.

Speaking of EOH, the Eve Series of Poker III tournament is being offered in a couple of weeks. Details are in this thread on the EVE-Online forums. If you're a high roller--or a good player who can get a sponsor--consider buying in and playing your way to fame and fortune!

And finally...a quick shout-out and many, many congratulations and well-wishes for Roc Wieler, whose real life persona is getting married today!

I think that about catches me up...guess it's time to undock the mighty Rifter and see what fun awaits me in Amamake!
